Hopeless. Zero markings. Practically nonexistent. The entire bike route about 30% mostly intended, I think, for access to properties and for anglers. The rest of the route is ordinaryAnd the roadway jammed with cars. Very dangerous because it is narrow. I do not recommend and especially with children. The whole area around the lake is aimed rather at car owners, although parking lots are scarce. The authorities of the region should take an example from Czorsztyn Reservoir.
Gregor • 02.05.2024The 2 stars solely for the views. I went on the trip with a child. I wanted to do well, but it didn't work out that way. The route I had to take, from the accommodation to the dam biegnie only a very busy road, where numerous drivers, especially truck drivers do not limit themselves with speed and maintaining a safe distance when overtaking. In built-up areas there is a sidewalk, where the child can safely ride, although with the passage of a lorry loaded with wood and there the momentum of the air can shake the cyclist a bit. Unfortunately, outside these areas there is not even a stable shoulder. Therefore, I do not recommend the above route for a trip with a small child.

~boguslawskura • 28.10.2017Very nice route, especially since we started from Szczyrk, to which we returned on bicycles. The views were excellent, riding along the shore very pleasant. UnfortunatelyMuch of the route leads along national roads with a lot of traffic, which, when we are overtaken on the "newspaper" by a truck, does not fill us with joy. In total, we traveled 70 km and, a little tired of the heat, returned to the lodge. It was worth it, and if the city of Zywiec invested in infrastructure for cyclists and cleaning the shores of the lake from the filth left behind, it would be a top five route :).
~loti • 20.08.2017The route is quite demanding in terms of physical fitness, especially when traversed on a hot day. I do not strongly recommend such a tour with children, as the glaring lack of infrastructurery of tourism and cycling, for such a city, with such natural assets. I live in Dabrowa Gornicza, and we have comfortable, smooth-as-a-table bike paths around two large, of the four lakes, which crowds cyclists from all over the region. Therefore, accustomed to such comforts, riding 22 km amidst the terrible hustle and bustle of traffic, the smell of exhaust fumes, focusing only on my own safety, I could not enjoy the attractions of this trip. In a small section near the shoreline of the lake, it was possible to persist by force and drive along the path these just three hundred meters, where the view of the lake itself, embedded in the landscape of the mountains captivates, and this is exactly what one would expect from such places. Driving slowly, I tried to capture the soothing murmur of the splashing lake water at the shore and the chorus of birdsong. Then I realized what a privilege it is when the city where I live has so proudly set its sights on land reclamation. I still hope that the Territorial Government of the city of Zywiec in the future will notice what a treasure it has and decide to take advantage of it. Or the shoreline of the Soła River, where it begs for a bicycle path, such as in Wisła or Ustroń. Unfortunately, I was also able to enjoy the beautiful views of this river from the distance of a heavily trafficked route, and I also felt disappointed. I recommend visiting the beautiful park in Zywiec, which made a great impression on me. However, when going on a bicycle trip to such charming and naturally lush places, it's hard to compensate by circling the charming yet park-like alleys.

What is very sad is that a city like Zywiec, which presents itself as a tourist city, has no possibility of ensuring the safety of its visitors.95% of the route is a road with more or less heavy traffic. it is a pity, because if you take the embankment from tesco and get to the acadamice resort, you could bike to the other side of the lake (it was possible during last year's drought) and ride another 15 km along the shoreline. and yes, the views are worth seeing ;)

Road reconstruction is taking place there and there is shuttle traffic. AfterI fly a nice detour through the Widok estate in Zywiec or through Moszczanica
