Sopot - Gdańsk Stogi - Gdańsk Główny

A route along the sea leading from Sopot to the beach in Stogi and then to Gdańsk Główny. We start at the pier in Sopot from where we ride along the seaside bike path towards Gdansk. In the Jelitkowo district we break away from the sea for a while and ride through a park and then ride again by the Baltic Sea itself. We reach the pier in Brzeźno. Here you can rest for a while on the pier or the beach. After resting, we return to the bicycle road and ride towards the only bicycle traffic circle in Gdansk , where the bicycle road to the center turns right. We, however, go straight on. A bit past the traffic circle the road turns right and plunges into the Brest Park. After leaving the park, we cross the streetcar tracks and enter the ne...o the open section of the Seaside Cycle Route and head towards the ferry to Wisloujście. Before crossing to the other side , it is worth a little wandering around the New Port. Here you can see, among other things, the historic sea latrine with the famous time ball and the ferry terminal. After crossing to the other side we enter the industrial areas of Gdansk. However, we won't be driving for long because right behind the ferry is the Wisloujscie Fortress, which of course must be seen. Next we go along Pokładowa Street towards Westerplatte and then along Budowniczych P. Północnego Street we reach the railroad tracks. Here we turn right and, in line with the tracks, push the bike on the quicksand. We reach the fence and turn right here on a narrow path leading by the fence itself into the forest. A little farther on the red hiking trail begins and leads along a narrow path by the sea all the way to the beach in Stogi. Here you can rest or have a bite to eat in one of the bars and while lying on the beach we can admire the container ships in the North Port. In Stogi we say goodbye to the mighty and go to the center of Gdansk. We enter the bike path , which leads to the streetcar terminus Stogi Pasanil , where the road ends for now. We turn right riding on the road or sidewalk, then we enter the newly built bike path leading to the cable-stayed bridge, after which we again have to ride for a while on the sidewalk, but not for long because a piece further on there is a bike path leading all the way to Dlugie Pobrzeze. When it ends, we go straight on, and then we enter the cycle contrapuntal along Stągiewna street. When it ends, we have two options: we can either walk straight along Dluga Street and look at the monuments of Gdansk, or turn left into Chmielna Street and then right onto the cow bridge, which leads us to one of the gates on Motlawa River and then to Ogarna Street, where the bike lane appears again. At its end we turn right and we are at the Coal Market where the route ends. A recreational route showing everything. Crowded sea , two piers , two lighthouses , Gdansk indstrialism, forests of Stogi Island and ending with the monuments of old Gdansk. This is a proposal for people who are here on vacation , or traversing the Polish Coast with panniers and taking a short break here. I recommend

    Feedback

  • One of the last opportunities to drive this route. The tunnel under the Dead Vistula will result in the elimination of the ferry and taking this route will be impossible. Gdansk supposedly cycling and liIt will eliminate the only crossing of the river, replacing it with a smelly bus and punishing with fines those who want to cross the tunnel on their own. This is not the kind of cycling Gdansk we fought for
