Yellow bicycle trail leading through the former areas of the post-Soviet training ground in Bornem Sulinow. The trail begins its course at the headquarters of the Forestry Commission in Bornem Sulinow. We follow the exit road to Szczecinek for a few kilometers, at the height of the former Soviet military cemetery in Bornem Sulinow (a characteristic monument with a pepesha) we turn right following the yellow marking of the bicycle trail. Here the road changes its quality, to poor unrepaired asphalt, probably a remnant of the Russians who left Borne in 1992. This is how we follow the road through the forest a good 7 km reaching the destination of our tour, the Klomin Heath. The vast areas overgrown with heather make great w...glaring, but every year the area is becoming more and more overgrown with self-sown forest. Certainly, in a few years, only memories will remain of such large tracts of heather, so the sooner you go there, the better the chance for a great visual experience. After crossing the heathland along a forest / dirt road, we head south, heading for the former village of Klomino (Grodek). Until 1992, the village was a base of the Soviet Army (the 82nd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment was stationed there), about 5,000 people could live there, today it is a ghost town with 22 residents. Note, when entering Klomin, you need to be aware of the missing manholes in the streets (an appropriate sign informs you of this at the entrance). After leaving Klomin, we enter the forest and take the forest road in the northern direction, the sandy ground on part of this section of the route may make the ride a bit difficult. After leaving the forest, we jump onto the asphalt road Nadarzyce - Borne Sulinowo and practically on this asphalt we return to Borne Sulinowo. On the route between Klomin and Borne Sulinowo, we can deviate following the signs standing by the road to see elements of the former fortifications of the Pomeranian Wall, shelters, a dam on the Piława River. When we return to Borne, we can spend time exploring it along a well-marked city tourist route with signs standing by all the major sites in the city, or spending time on a pleasant beach on Lake Pile.

    Feedback

  • Heath supposedly "self-sown" not overgrown and this is the activity of the Forestry Commission, will remain a heathland certainly the area of the reserve Devil's Hollow - I recommend to obeyrzenia on vod tvp program about the aforementioned heath "Forest story" dated 13/12/2014.

The route is beautiful at any time of the year. The only problem is that the signage is not clear in all sections.
