The red bicycle trail around Lake Lubie

A bicycle route around Lake Lubie. Lubie (Lubieszewskie) Lake has an area of 1487.5 hectares. The deepest place is 46.2 meters deep. The length of the lake is 14.1 kilometers. At its widest point it has 2,2 km. The length of the route - 40 km. The hike begins in Lubieszewo at the crossroads. The route follows the red bicycle trail. The trail is very well marked (August 2010). Most of the route (about ) leads through forests. Only at the northern and northeastern shore of the lake it leads among meadows. The trail is heavily undulating. Flat sections are few. The descents are short, but sometimes the difference in level is quite significant. It is possible, without pedaling, to speed up to 45 km / h. From Lubieszewo we head ...Follow the paved road to the southeast. After about 2.5 km, the route heads into an avenue of trees among meadows, and then enters the forest. In the forest it reaches a maximum altitude of 153 meters above sea level and follows the road from Wierzchow to Kalisz Pomorski. On this road we go about 2 km. On the outskirts of the village of Sienica we again find ourselves on unpaved ducts. The route runs through forests on the way crossing the Drawa River and leads us to Karwice. Again it plunges into the forest and near the northwestern shore of the lake leads to Mielenko Drawskie where we have the lowest point of the route 96 m above sea level. Through the forest and then through meadows we reach Gudowa. Now to Lubieszewo we will hardly meet forests.
