Borne Sulinowo - Szczecinek

We start the tour in the town, which only in the 1990s formally came under Polish sovereignty (previously the Russians administered the area). We start from the intersection of Niepodległości and Wojska Polskiego Streets. We go in the direction of the post-Soviet cemetery all the way along Wojska Polskiego Street (on the left we pass a characteristic cemetery with a characteristic monument). About a kilometer past the cemetery a road junction. On it we go straight through the village of Krągi to the road No. 20. On it straight about 6 kilometers to the village of Jelenino. Here we take the second asphalt road to the left and go 5 kilometers to the village of Mosina. There we can only go right or left. We go right and without turning anywhere p...about another 5 km we reach the road no. 172 in Trzesieka. There we turn right and after about a kilometer of driving on this road we get on a path leading along the shoreline of Lake Trzesiecko. This is the promenade that will take us to the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes, where our tour will come to an end. Especially attractive is the last part of this tour already in Szczecinek itself. Riding along the waterfront promenade gives a lot of satisfaction. In turn, if we go straight along Kosciuszko Street (road No. 172 - on the right is a bicycle path) we will come across a powerful World War II bunker on the left. We can also see Europe's longest water ski track and, of course, use it if we wish. Another curiosity is the chain that surrounds the obelisk dedicated to Polish soldiers, conquerors of the Pomeranian Wall. It comes from the German battleship "Gneisenau" and a monument dedicated to French soldiers from Napoleon's army returning from Russia in 1813. A cool, not too long trip with many attractions and, just as importantly, trivially easy to navigate. Highly recommended!

Since when are bike routes let loose on busy national roads. In this case, road 20.

  • The least interesting is the section of road 20, but in the end it's only a few kilometers. Borne is an interesting town, but Szczecinek is definitely cooler. I recommend it!

  • I was in Borny Sulinowo in the summer of 2008.Very interesting area located on the lake and among the woodlands. In addition, interesting description of the route :). Maybe I will be able and in prz next year to get there - the route I will try to try.
