To the Great Forest nature reserve

Already at the very beginning of the route there are a lot of attractions waiting for us (the ruins of Olsztyn Castle, the granary (now a restaurant), Jan Wiewióra's moving crib or the geological path to the Kielniki quarry). Once we saturate our eyes with the attractions of Olsztyn, we set off in the direction of Kusiąt (on the way, the cemetery of Poles murdered by the Germans as part of the AB action (right). A little farther (on the left) Towarne Mountains with numerous caves (it is worth going there if only to admire the beautiful panorama of the Olsztyn castle). We continue to the railroad crossing. Behind it, we turn right into a narrow asphalt road and through Joachimow we reach the end of the asphalt. There we turn left, then into a clear gravel road to the right. It turns ...After a while into an asphalt road, which will take you to a cross road. On it turn right to Malus Wielkie. Now we go straight (on the left is an interesting roadside shrine, which originally stood in the manor park - behind the visible fence). A piece further on the turnout to the right. We go straight and at the next junction turn right towards Zagorze. First uphill, then downhill and uphill again. From Zagorze we continue straight to the cross road. On it turn left and in Zuraw turn right. Now straight again up to the gravel road (after Lipnik at the height of the Salma grove on the right in the background). There we turn left and immediately plunge into the forest. This is already the "Great Forest" reserve. There are a number of nice paths, by which you can ride in this interesting forest corner, and if we have had enough you can always pop out for a fish in Zalesice or Sygontka.

  • We liked the route. A lot of the route on a normal paved road, but since we were going on a long May 10 weekend there was no traffic. ;-)
