Kazimierz Dolny - Janowiec

A very attractive and varied route. We visit Kazimierz and the ruins of the castle in Janowiec. Also includes two ferry crossings over the Vistula River. Ferries run only in season! The surface varies - asphalt, dirt roads and a few steep climbs. We leave Kazimierz on Pulawska Street and follow the asphalt in the direction of Bochotnica. We enter the national road 824. after about 2km we look out for the sign "Ferry crossing". We cross. We continue on the dirt road running along the left bank. Here we face several steep climbs. We leave on asphalt and reach Janowiec. In this town the attraction is the ruins of the castle. After the tour, another ferry crossing Janowiec-Kazimierz awaits us. ...

  Cool route, beautiful surroundings. This is one of my nine days in Central Roztocze.

An interesting route for a leisurely ride in 2-2.5h. The view of the Vistula River from the ruins of the castle in Janowiec and the ferry crossing are impressive!

The route is attractive. Unfortunately, from the side of Janowiec you can encounter a terrible surface in places. But I recommend.

The route is very scenic, especially in the spring. Light easy and pleasant. In Janowiec, in addition to the castle, you can also see a manor house and a granary that houses a small museum. WThe ruins of the castle include a small restaurant, an exhibition from which we can learn a little about the history of the castle, as well as periodic exhibitions.
