Karpacz is an attractive mountain tourist and resort town located in the Lower Silesian province, in the Karkonosze Mountains, at the foot of Sniezka (1602 meters above sea level). Karpacz is an extremely popular holiday destination in both summer and winter. There are many hiking trails here, including a route to the famous Sněžka, the highest peak in the Karkonosze Mountains. Karpacz is an ideal winter sports center, with many skiing enthusiasts visiting every year. In Karpacz itself, there are more than a dozen lighted ski slopes of moderate difficulty, often made of snow, with ski lifts and equipment rentals.
