Szklarska Poręba is a bit underrated city, lying at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains. This is a really special place, and should be appreciated by skiers and other people who enjoy the white fluff on the slopes. The surroundings of the city have a microclimate similar to that found in alpine towns located at an altitude of about two thousand meters. So as you can see and in Poland you can feel like skiing in the Alps!
Szklarska Poręba is a paradise for skiers and other athletes, which is why you can often meet athletes in many different disciplines in the city. This is undoubtedly a big plus of this small town. But as we will see, there are many more. The city and its surroundings are entwined with a dense network of bicycle paths with a total length of over 200 kilometers! Thanks to this, even in the summer, you can have intense rest or training. It is certainly a place for people who prefer to spend their free time actively.
If, on the other hand, someone is tired of riding around 150 kilometers of ski slopes, he should make a trip abroad, to nearby Czech cities and there to drink a famous beer, from our southern neighbors. In summary - if you do not like to sit idle and close to you movement in the fresh air, Szklarska Poręba will be a great place for you to actively relax. Take skis and bikes, and you will not be bored!
