Lake Durowskie - located in the center of the city, along Kosciuszko Street, is one of the main tourist attractions of Wągrowiec. Residents and tourists can use the beachand swimming area, water equipment rentals and sailing marinas. Catamaran cruises on Lake Durowski are also an attraction. During the summer, sailing regattas are held on the lake, and in 2001 the World Model Sailing Championships were organized. Along the shore of Lake Durowski stretches a picturesque promenade, the charm of which is added by sculptures, the result of the work of Poznan sculptors. Above the promenade, on the eastern side of Lake Durowskie, along Kosciuszko Street, on the other hand, stretches the area of the city park and a complex of stately buildings from the early 20th century. Durowskie Lake, along with three other lakes and the rivers Vlna and Nielba, is a real paradise for lovers of canoeing, sailing and fishing. There is a bathing area with water equipment rentals and a promenade at the disposal of tourists and residents, which surrounds the lake along an 11-kilometer route and is an excellent place for Nordic walking and cycling enthusiasts. You can go for a walk with your family or jog with friends. It's a dream place for lovers of two sticks (Nordic walking) or wheels (bicycles, mountain bikes). The lake in the heart of the city is also a favorite of water recreation enthusiasts - sailors, kayakers and swimming enthusiasts. The developed city beach is often visited by numerous bathing enthusiasts, although there is no shortage of them and in winter, bathing in the ice hole is a boost for "walruses" for days.
