  • Construction of the city's oldest temple began in the 16th century, on the site where a wooden church had previously stood. The current temple is built in the late Gothic style, with aEarly Renaissance gables. The church is built of brick using granite blocks from the demolition of the post-convent buildings in Lekno - the cradle of the Cistercians in Greater Poland. There are cylindrical turrets at the western and southern elevations. The valuable equipment of the church includes nine altars and the setting of the tenth one. The oldest late Renaissance altar dates back to the 16th century, and the wall paintings in the Rosary Chapel were also created during the same period. Adjacent to the church is a wooden walled bell tower dating from 1847. In 2004, the wooden part of the structure was restored and the bell that had served the church for several centuries was replaced. The removed bell was placed on a pedestal next to the restored bell tower.
