    Unique Stay: August 2015

As mandatory, it is mandatory. Ticket prices have changed somewhat. The waterfall, fortunately, has not. It is still just as beautiful. Be sure to expect a fair amount of people who crowd theumm marching on the trail to also see this natural wonder.

  • Kamienczyk Waterfall The Kamienczyk Waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains and the fourth largest waterfall in Poland. It consists of three cascades, kt which together account for 27 meters in height. Behind the central cascade is a grotto, called the "Golden Cave," carved by the Walloons, who sought amethysts and pegmatites here many centuries ago. Legend has it that the Kamienczyk Waterfall was created from the tears of seven russet women mourning the death of their sister and her beloved Kamienczyk Bronish, who fell into the mountain abyss. Practical information To reach the Waterfall, follow the red trail, which starts in the center of Szklarska Poreba. Those traveling by car can leave their car at the free parking lot at the exit from Szklarska Poreba in the direction of Jakuszyce. From there, you should already move on foot. The walk to the waterfall takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on your condition? The waterfall can be admired from two places. Its upper part can be seen by going up to the height of the hut. However, it is definitely more interesting to see it in all its splendor for which, of course, you should pay. A normal ticket costs 5 zlotys, while a reduced ticket costs 2.50 zlotys. Along with getting a ticket you also get special helmets to protect you from falling rock fragments. To get to the bottom of the canyon you have to descend a metal staircase and then move along a walkway attached to the rock wall. The view of the 27-meter waterfall surrounded by rocks is breathtaking, so being in the Giant Mountains this is a must-see!:)
