were super parakeets
15.07.2013Comparing this garden, for example, to the Chorzow garden, the gap is great in favor of Opole. Interestingly designed enclosures. Playgrounds for children, next to paid rope parksThere are also quite a few free attractions. The alleys in the garden do not remember the era before the Round Table, and you can easily ride a stroller on them if you have small children. The only thing that annoys me in the gardens are the plexiglass walls through which taking a photo is a lot of trouble, because the sun is reflected, and the "glass" is also a bit scratched. It is certainly worth a trip to Opole to see how the zoo got back on its feet after the flood.
13.09.2012The Opole Zoological Garden was established in the 1930s on the site of a park located on Bolko Island, a private section of which, occupying about 1 hectare, was convertedy into an animal park. In 1997, the Garden is threatened with liquidation when the flood of the century, which hits Opole, completely destroys its grounds and facilities. In 1998, the Zoo is reborn. Step by step, more facilities are handed over, built according to the new concept. In 2011, the amphibian pavilion - the most endangered vertebrate group - and a new giraffe house are handed over, as the brilliantly breeding herd of giraffes the old facility can no longer accommodate. (excerpt from the description from the zoo.opole.pl website) There is free parking at the facility, the last kilometer to the zoo gates must be covered on foot. Access to the facility is neatly marked within the city.
