The Palace of Art in Cracow is the headquarters of the Society of Friendsóof Fine Arts – the oldest in this part of Europe, established in 1854. After years of trying tong the creation of a new headquarters, necessitated by the limitedness of the site, after considering numerous concepts, the Society received a site for the Palace on the edge of Szczepanski Square in 1897 in exchange for „Lituania” Grottgera. The Palace of Arts is an outstanding example of the integration of architecture, sculpture and ornamentation. The jointócooperation of rós artists, resulted in a work of art with a compact and harmonious structure. This was determined by the occurrence of several arts within a single building, united by the uniform characteristics of the individualól elements, variously calledart nouveau, modernism and symbolism.

Palace of Art
Szczepański Square 4, 31-011 Kraków
tel./fax: + 48 12 422 66 16
mob.: + 48 501 45 12 52
biuro@palac-sztuki.krakow.pl
Opening hours:
Monday – Friday: 8.15 am – 6 pm
Saturday – Sunday: 10.00 am – 6.00 pm
