The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord was built in the 18th century after the Piarists settled in Krakow. It is built on a rectangular plan, is single-nave and has interesting polychicroma. The main altar and the frescoes on the vault of the nave are the work of Franciszek Eckstein. Embedded next to the altar is the heart of Rev. Stanislaw Konarski, whose bust can be admired in front of the temple entrance. The three-nave basilica with galleries is decorated with rich sculptural and painting ornamentation dating back to the 18th century. Nearby, the building of the Piarist College and the former Collegium Novum are situated.
