Brunswick Palace

Brunswick Palace

The palace was built in the 19th century by Kolobrzeg merchant C. F. H. Plüddemann. The palace was intended as a garland for his daughter Alma, who was to marry merchant and shipowner Heinrich Braunschweig (the palace is named after his polonized surname).

Feedback

  • It was built in the 19th century in the emipre style. It was damaged during the last war, but was quickly repaired. It was the headquarters of the UB, then PTTK. In 1970-80 renovatedano palace , it now houses the Museum of Polish Arms. I highly recommend this museum. There are gathered there wonderful collections of weapons, uniforms and war equipment. It is worth a look, and learn about history. Admission costs about 3 zlotys. Photography is allowed for a surcharge of 2 zlotys (2002).
