The lapidarium was established in 2000, in Seaside Park, at the junction of Zdrojowa and Mickiewicza streets, on the site of the former Jewish cemetery in Kolobrzeg. The following inscriptionon the memorial plaque was written in Polish, German and Hebrew: "To the memory of the Jewish community of Kolobrzeg deported in 1940 and murdered by the Nazis on 28.X.1942 in the Belzec death camp. The Jewish community living in Kolobrzeg between 1812 and 1940 made a great contribution to the city's development as a seaside health resort. A Jewish cemetery was located in this place from 1812 to 1938."
