Jasna Góra

Jasna Gora is not only a monastery and the chapel of the Miraculous Image. It is also a fortress, barracks, prison, royal residence and a minimalist town. The beginning of the history of the monastery itself is 1382.

  • Jasna Gora encouraged me with its history-it is about its defense. The holy place, where I saw the image of Our Lady-Black Madonna, elements of religious and royal clothing. Sightseeing arouses a strange feeling inside as if afraid, but admiration I did not shy away even for a moment.

this place has something amazing about it, I'm not very religious, but just like I could, I would come there more than once every few years

  • Poles have been making pilgrimages to Jasna Gora since its inception in 1382. It was then that Prince Wladyslaw Opolczyk brought to Czestochowa the most venerated miraculous wiseration of the Mother of God. Pilgrimages to Jasna Gora take place throughout the year, but most pilgrims always come here on August 15 for the indulgence of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Jasna Gora Monastery is also a once important fortress with an arsenal open to the public, a place of many important historical events and a treasury collecting priceless gifts offered to the Jasna Gora Lady by kings, hetmans, presidents, popes and other greats of this world since the 14th century.
