From what I remember (because it's been almost 10 years since I visited there), I liked the place, it captivated me with its tranquility. I would have given a higher rating if it had gottenThe access to the bison was greater. Without binoculars it was difficult to see them from a distance, and they did not want to come closer, preferring to hide in the shade of trees. My camera was also not very clever at the time, hence the photos I took as I did. I recommend this place to all who will be in Bialowieza
19.05.2011In the Bia這wie瘸 National Park's Bison Show Reserve, large enclosures house the largest representatives of the Bia這wie瘸 Forest's mammals: bison, deer, elk, roe deery, wild boars and large carnivores: a wolf and a lynx. You can also see the Polish Horse, which is a descendant of the Tarpans, as well as the European Bison, a hybrid between a bison and a cow. The current bison show reserve, with an area of 27.9 hectares, was established in 1937 and was originally a site for the restitution of the forest tarpan. Since the time and abandonment of tarpan restoration work in this reserve and the establishment of a bison enclosure in 1955, the reserve has served as a tourist facility. In 1951, a new reserve was built, directly adjacent to the show reserve, with an area of 43.12 hectares, which provides facilities for the show reserve. The operation of the reserve was interrupted for about 10 years by a major overhaul to modernize it and allow it to increase the species composition of the animals on display. Again the reserve was opened to tourists in December 1988.
