The eastern tower - 63 m high erected in 1482.At the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, a chain library was established inside, today there is a reconstruction of the chain library desk. Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zlotorya ? Roman Catholic temple dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zlotorya. The church occupies a special place in the history and architecture of Zlotorya. It is among only about twenty urban parish churches in Silesia, whose origins date back to the first half of the 13th century. It is very likely that even before 1211, i.e. in the first decade of the 13th century, the inhabitants of the Zlotorya settlement began to build a church in its center. This is where some of the earliest architectural elements, such as maswerki, were used. The construction of the church was patronized by Henry the Bearded, who granted Zlotorya city rights in 1211. The church owes its mighty shape to the knightly order of the Joannites. Noteworthy features include: portals (Gothic and Romanesque), a Renaissance pulpit, epitaphs, as well as galleries and an altar from the 17th and 18th centuries. From the top of the tower one can admire the panorama of the city, the Kaczawskie Foothills, the Kaczawskie Mountains and the Karkonosze, from here the city bugle sounds. An exhibition on the history of the church and the Renaissance grammar school of Valentin Trozendorf also invites visitors inside. The symbolic tombstone of this most prominent Zlotoryan (buried in Legnica) is located in the chancel. You can visit the room under the clock, Trozendorf's room. The tower is a good vantage point.
