When visiting Lower Silesia, going to the Klodzko Basin or the Czech Republic, it is worth stopping in Ziębice - 60 km south of Wroclaw. In this beautiful town there is ahistoric town hall from the 19th century and in it is housed the unusual only museum in Poland - the Household Appliances Museum. The Ziębice museum has been in existence since 1931, and initially had a regional character, but in 1972 it adopted a specialization in household appliances. However, the collections of the Ziębice museum are very diverse. Of course, in accordance with the specialization, the leading collection of the Ziębice museum is a variety of household appliances. Particularly noteworthy is the largest collection of irons in Europe, covering four centuries from the 17th to the 20th century. You'll also see kitchen and tableware, cutlery, candlesticks and oil and kerosene lamps, clocks, and mechanical household equipment such as washing machines, mangles, refrigerators and many other household items once used in households.
