Bartek stands right on the street, across the parking lot. There are no fees. You walk around the oak tree, which is fenced off and cannot be approached. It is impressive, especially its branches and those huge supports. The whole tour tops 15 minutes with access. Attention only to the rather busy street, fortunately there are traffic lights.

The place is interesting because it is the most magnificent tree in the country. There is something to brag about and admire. A tree like a tree but you have to pay for a parking space. It's worth it!

I agree with the previous speaker. The only fee is 5 zl for parking near Bartek, but it's fun to go and see the oldest tree in Poland.

Tourists, visit, visit, because if Bartek falls over for us, all that will be left of him is an information board. Oak has it that it doesn't charge you to see thedish. However, there are already a few hyenas foraging in the nearby parking lot, so this few zlotys must be left. You will get a medal for this:) I got

  • Bartek oak - pedunculate oak growing between Bartkow and Zagnańsko, in Świętokrzyskie province, a natural monument. The age of this tree is estimated according to the latest research dendrochronologists at 645-670 years old (the research was done with a Pressler auger). In the interwar period, the age of this oak was estimated as high as 1,200 years. The true age is impossible to determine, due to the scarred center of the trunk. Since 1952 the oak has been recognized as a natural monument. In 1934 a competition court chaired by Professor Wladyslaw Szafer recognized Bartek as "the most magnificent tree in Poland." According to one legend, Jan III Sobieski and Marysieńka hid treasures in the Bartek Oak. In 1829 the oak had 14 main branches and 16 side branches. Currently it has 8 main branches. In 1906 Bartek was damaged by a fire in nearby buildings. In the 1920s the tree trunk was filled with concrete seals. On June 3, 1991, one of the branches and part of the trunk was damaged by a lightning strike, creating a so-called lightning strip. The damage was preserved. The tree now measures 30 meters in height, with a trunk circumference of 1.30 m, 9.85 m, and 13.4 m at the ground, a crown span of 20 m x 40 m, a crown canopy of 720 m, and a breast height of 3.14 m. The volume of the entire tree is about 72 m, the thickness of the entire tree is about 65 m, including the main trunk of about 46 m. Trunk decay has become a serious problem: the thickness of healthy tissue does not exceed 20 cm, and in many places is only 5 cm. The oak tree has begun to tilt dangerously under the weight of one of its branches
