The ceremonial launch of the fountain took place on June 4, 2009, at 10 p.m., on the 20th anniversary of the first free elections in post-war Poland. After the impressive premiere, the fountain is becoming a permanent and highly attractive element of the city's landscape. The fountain offers a multimedia show that works on many senses. Water is shot to a height of about 40 meters. The water screen of more than 700 m 2 will feature artistic animations enhanced by the sounds of water and music. The multimedia fountain on Pergola is one of several such projects in the world. In the fountain basin with an area of about 1 hectare, almost 300 water jets of various types (geysers, foaming jets, dynamic jets, fog jets, punk jets, palm jets, water jets) and 3 fire jets have been placed. The spectacle of water and fire will be enhanced by images projected by a projector onto a water screen, as well as laser lights and music sounds. The fountain is illuminated by nearly 800 large and small points of light placed in the basin. An additional attraction is the fountain's winter function, during which time it can turn into an ice rink of about 4,700 square meters. Opening hours Every day from 9am to 11pm you will be able to enjoy the functioning of the fountain. From 8 p.m., the water fantasies will also be accompanied by magnificent illumination Every full hour, the fountain will present itself in a dynamic show, using most of the jets and geysers, which will provide a unique experience: on even hours ? a fifteen-minute block to the rhythm of classical or modern music in odd hours ? a three-minute show accompanied by the music of Richard Wagner and Vanessa Mae, EXCEPT: at: 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. ? an extraordinary fifteen-minute show using almost the full capacity of the fountain.
