There are only two Coastal National Parks in Poland, and one of them is Wolin National Park - located on the island of Wolin. It stretches from the krThe park is located in the vicinity of the towns of Miedzyzdroje, Wiselka up to Miedzywodzie. It was established as early as 1960 and enlarged in 1996. This park includes, in addition to the land area, a coastal strip of the Baltic Sea with a width of one nautical mile (1852m). Plant and animal protection: As many as 54 species of plants are protected here, such as forkbeards, lilac arachnid or the seaside myotis, known to almost everyone. The park is also a habitat for representatives of the animal world - mainly birds - more than 200 species, including the park's symbol - the largest raptor occurring in Poland - the white-tailed eagle. Interesting fact: A curiosity of the park is the Show Bison enclosure - it is a place of convalescence also for other species of the fauna world, in separate enclosures are placed: deer, wild boars and white-tailed eagles. After convalescence, these animals are released into the wild.
