  • The Evangelical-Augsburg Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Wisla was built between 1833 and 1838, according to a design by Edward Koerber. Originally it was a three-nave hall with features of ach classicist, without tower and bells. The consecration was done in 1838. The three-story tower was not erected until 1861 - 1863. The interior of the church is three-nave, with a two-story emporium arrangement in the side aisles, typical of Protestant churches. Through the purist interior design, which is kept in white, the focus is on the following elements: the altar with a stained glass window and the pulpit. The altar area is dominated by a large-sized stained glass window with a representation of the apostles Peter and Paul The stained glass window was made in 1932, as evidenced by the signature on the stained glass window SGŻ 1932. The contractor was the Krakow Stained Glass Company, and the design belonged to Adam Ciompa, who clearly referred to Young Poland art in its composition and aesthetics. As already mentioned, the color scheme of the interior is quite monochromatic, narrowed almost exclusively to white. However, it is necessary to point out the discreet gilding applied to the ornamental motifs and the blues, which form the background of the sunflower motif in the coffers. The initiator of the introduction of these subtle color accents in the 1970s was Ignacy Plazak, conservator and director of Pszczyna Castle at the time.
