The origins of the museum in Wdzydze Kiszewskie date back to 1906. Its creators Teodora and Izydor Gulgowski were the founders, the first in the Polish lands, the museum in the open airThey arranged it in an 18th-century burghers' cottage, which they bought from a local farmer, Michal Hinc. There they gathered, typical of the time, household and farm equipment, as well as a valuable collection of gold-embroidered coifs, glass-painted paintings and ceramics.
