  • aku_ I don't know if you've seen the zoo in Lodz - in my opinion more interesting than the one in w-wa, but I've been there quite a while.... I heard recently that you will be able to admire a new pair of orangutans who went on a date to Poland :)

    Unique Stay: August 2010

I have a scale of comparison with two other gardens. The Warsaw one looks excellent. Interestingly organized enclosures for animals. Several points with harnessed modernThey are equipped with technology, where you can read this and that about the animals on touch panels. Clean, neat and all pleasant to the eye of visitors.

  • Warsaw Zoo was founded in 1928. Then it presented about 500 animals, today it has nearly 5,000 - representatives of 500 species. Among them there are some which are notwill be met in any Polish garden: anteaters, hyacinth ares. cheetah cubs, red-tailed gazelles. The garden hosts lessons for primary and secondary school students, lectures for students, photos with disabled children. Birthday parties for children are organized. At the Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, known as the Bird Asylum, bird patients are treated and rehabilitated. Annually there are about 1,500 of them, more than half of them return to the wild in full health. The zoo is not only animals, it is also 40 hectares of beautiful park with very clean air and beautiful vegetation. In the Warsaw Zoological Garden there is the only Free Flight Hall in Poland. Surrounded by beautiful greenery, here you can watch colorful Asian birds flying over our heads, listen to their soothing singing and the sound of a waterfall. "Thatched Cottage" - the oldest building in the Warsaw Zoo, built in 1928, served as a stable for zebras and camels. Today, this beautifully restored wooden building hosts various popular science exhibitions during the summer season. Fairy Tale Zoo - a favorite place for both children and adults. Here children can visit animals they know from fairy tales and play on the playground. They also have a unique opportunity, accompanied by someone from the zoo staff, to feed, stroke and play with tame animals. Adults, on the other hand, have the opportunity to relax on a bench during this time and read a newspaper in peace. The Herpetarium presents 50 species of reptiles. Among them are venomous snakes, basilisks, various turtles, varanas and, of course, crocodiles, over whose heads you can drink very tasty chocolate or coffee. We invite you every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The ticket offices close at 6 p.m. Admission: normal - 14 PLN, reduced - 8 PLN Every first Tuesday of the month admission is free for pensioners.
