The palace was built between 1713 and 1718. It was rebuilt many times, after war damage it was reconstructed - it was restored to its 18th century appearance, preserving the elements of thebaroque and classicist ti. Today, the former palace annexes house studios of the painting and graphic arts departments, among others. In the left outbuilding of the palace is the lounge where the Chopin family lived; its furnishings include a piano, furniture of the time and photographs. Other famous tenants of the palace were St. Malachowski, Z. Vogel, Z. Krasinski. In the courtyard in front of the palace stands a copy of Verrocchio's work, a statue of B.
