In September I visited all three complexes from the Riese project in the Owl Mountains: Włodarz, Osówka and Rzeczka. And I must admit that a visit to each of them leaves a differentimpressions. Youtu.be/fedTpmth0UQ - if you are still undecided, I invite you to watch a short video of my trip there (of course, I did not include everything there in order not to spoil the effect of the tour, but only to convince you to visit). So in a nutshell, in the Rzeczka complex or Walim drifts (in the ones with a high rocket next to the parking lot) there are a lot of multimedia attractions that are really impressive and stay in your memory for a long time. Just be sure to wear footwear you won't mind getting dirty (all flip-flops, etc. are out) and a jacket or warm sweatshirt. Oh, and just strongly advise against, someone who is afraid of the dark (sometimes it is really completely dark) and someone who has very sensitive hearing (sometimes it can be very loud).
JuliettaT - 11.10.2017I liked the simulation of bomb explosions and the moment when the guide turned off all the lights to show us what real darkness means
01.09.2014hold many still undiscovered secrets, while at the same time are a reminder of a system that I hope will never again gain such support
27.09.2011It's worth a visit, so that no one thinks that the hard work of oppressed peoples for the Third Resa ended at Auschwitz in Poland. And this still unexplained mystery.... dwhat was it supposed to be about....
24.03.2010Since 1943, in the region of the Owl Mountains, the Germans carried out large-scale and massive construction work under the common code name "Riese" ("Giant"). Constructionwas never completed, and its remnants are a series of underground complexes and above-ground structures still shrouded in mystery as to their purpose. Entrance only with a guide. Due to the low temperature (5-7st.C) and high humidity inside the site, it is recommended to bring warm clothing. Sightseeing time about 45 minutes.
