Bieszczady National Park

The Bieszczady National Park stretches across the southernmost part of the Podkarpackie province. The park has numerous nature trails, as well as hiking trails (about 130 kilometers) and horseback riding and bicycle routes. It's also a great backdrop for wedding photos, but in order to hold a professional session here, you'll need to apply for and obtain a permit. Visiting the Bieszczady National Park is facilitated by an extensive network of parking lots and tourist information points. Special places have also been prepared on its territory where you can rest during a longer hike. In Berezki, Tarnawa Niżna, as well as Wetlinka, you can spend the night at specially designated campgrounds. In the Natural History Museum, located in Ustrzyki Dolne, you can learn about the history of the Bieszczady National Park and issues related to its functioning. Younger travelers will have a chance to learn a lot about environmental protection here. According to the Law on Nature Protection of April 16, 2004, dogs are not allowed in the park. The exception is people with disabilities, for whom the pet is an assistant (it should have a special designation). When traveling in the Bieszczady Mountains, it is worth planning a trip to the southernmost point of Poland, which is Opolonek peak.
