Ruins like ruins. The plus is that they are quite large, you can take cool pictures. There is a lot to see, because the castle is quite large. The route is easy. We walked with a stroller,There was no problem. In some places there are stairs, then you can carry the stroller or just do not go there. The child liked it very much. We liked it less - no plaques, no information about what the castle is, who lived here, what chambers were there, what was held. It would have been useful to have some plaques with info on the castle grounds, what room we were in. The tour is a bit boring, walking around this castle, every nook and cranny practically the same. Fortunately, tickets are not expensive. It's worth seeing but the revelation is not there. We were disappointed.
22.08.2013I had the opportunity to be there again and after a three-year hiatus I find quite a few changes. You can see the resources invested in this facility. No more wandering around in dark placescachs, the nooks and crannies are illuminated by lights placed on the walls, escape routes are indicated. Around the castle there are decent railings, so that tourists do not accidentally fall from heights. Roofs have been built in places, so that water does not collect inside and there is no mud. All these treatments have not affected the raw atmosphere of the ruins and the object is worth visiting all the time.
08.07.2013Amazing place. I recommend it to everyone!!!
12.08.2012One of the largest and most interesting ruins in Poland.One-of-a-kind building, stunning grandeur.Although the castle is devastated, you can imagine how wyglanced in its glory years. So it is worth to pass this place, because it is a rarity in Europe. There are other ruins, but none so well preserved.
19.12.2010Super castle! Lots of corridors in it. You can enter and see the castle on the first floor or go down to the underground corridor. The place is attractive for adults and children. In front ofcastle you can meet the author of books about the castle, who tells interesting stories related to the creation of the castle.
07.08.2010There was quite a scramble to get to the castle, because the road from both Ivaniska and Klimontow.... under renovation. OBJECTION everywhere. So what? Frustrate should we? Hardly, I let myself go betweenExcavators, workers. I did not tore so many kilometers from home, so that now just any worker with a shovel sold me. I arrived, saw ... wonderful castle:) I recommend! And oh... in the restaurant next door is a fantastic stew, served in a cauldron, heated non-stop from underneath with a candle. Any more recommendations needed?
26.03.2010The unusual and monumental building in Ujazd was probably intended to testify to the wealth of the founder, and to inscribe his name in the history of the country. Its greatness is evidenced byThe fact that before the creation of Versailles it was the largest palace complex in Europe. Symbolizing the persistence in time of the powerful Ossolinsky family, it became a reflection of the calendar: it had as many windows as days in the year, as many chambers as weeks, as many great halls as months, and finally as many towers as seasons. Horses in the stables ate from marble mangers, peering through crystal mirrors. In one of the great halls, the role of the ceiling was played by an aquarium in which exotic fish swam. The tower where this hall was located was built on a spring from which water still flows today. On the walls of the building was placed a gallery of ancestors and relatives of the Ossolinsky family, which was to testify to the power of the family and its great services to the Republic.
