A wooden church with a brick sacristy was built here at the end of the 16th century. It burned down on July 7, 1830.In its place, the residents of Toporovo built a brick one after 1880.A new chapel dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord. In 1987, the area vicar, Rev. Adam Borek, began construction of the sacred-catechetical building according to a design by Eng. arch. Jolanta Gajewczyk. As construction proceeded, the existing chapel located on the same property was demolished. The construction of the sacred part was completed the following year. The church, equipped with the necessary equipment, was solemnly consecrated on April 16, 1990 by Bishop Stanislaw Nowak. The next parish priest, Rev. Krzysztof Baranski, retrofitted the temple and rectory, fenced and landscaped the church's surroundings. He initiated the purchase of three bells. A painting by Jerzy Duda-Gracz "Transfiguration of the Lord" (1995) was placed in the church. Rev. Marian Morga finalized the adaptation of the bell tower and the installation of three bells with electronic drive. They were consecrated on May 9, 1998. At the same time, he is constantly adapting the parsonage part to the needs of tourism, pilgrimage and youth ministry. On the territory of the parish in Kamion, separated from Toporów by the Warta River, in the 16th and 18th centuries there was a wooden church serving as a branch church. Demolished before 1765, Kamion residents erected a small chapel (for ten people at most) out of the material remaining from this church, but which does not seem to have served liturgical purposes.
