The feeling is amazing how from a rural landscape you suddenly enter the mighty walls of Szydlovsk. We walked around the old cobblestones for half a day, time seems to have stopped there. VisitWe had a blast at the museum. It was fun
31.08.2014The ruins of the residential house known as the treasury house, which now houses the Regional Museum, the towers, the gate building with the remains of themi of the walls separating the castle from the city. On the western side, the courtyard is enclosed by perimeter walls, which are part of the city fortifications. The building had the character of a royal residence, as evidenced by the courtyard and the residential building. The Szydłów Castle Knights Fraternity, dedicated to the cultivation of knightly traditions, which was established in 2007, operates at the castle. Its members recreate medieval knightly weaponry and perfect themselves in sword and saber combat. The Szydłów Castle Early Dance Ensemble, which was established in 2007, is also active there. Classes are conducted at the Communal Cultural Center. The team trains dances of the medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods, which it presents at shows, tournaments and festivals throughout Poland.
