27.09.2011Today, the castle of the Dukes of Pomerania, after the reconstruction carried out in the second half of the 20th century, presents a 16th-century form, proudly displaying the reconstructed Renaissance attyks and helmets. Today it is a central center of cultural life in West Pomerania. Classical music concerts are often held here. The castle is home to the Camerata Nova ensemble of singers and instrumentalists, the intimate Zamek cinema, the Krypta Theater, and the Piwnica Przy Krypcie cabaret; its halls are used for seminars, scientific meetings, promotional events, etc. The south and north wings contain rooms and chambers open to the public, as well as art exhibition galleries. The east wing houses an exhibition of the sarcophagi found in 1946 of Boguslaw XIV, Philip II and Francis I, among others. You can also climb the 60-meter Bell Tower with a viewing gallery.
