It is an artificially formed island with an area: 0.7 sq. km. on the delta of the Swina River, within Swinoujscie. It is long and narrow - its width is a maximum of 500 m, behind theś length of 3.5 km. It is not inhabited by people, but cormorants like to use it, so at one time the island was hailed as , "the island of cormorants". As a result of their presence, the trees on the island have withered, which gives it a peculiar appearance.
