28.08.2014The atmosphere in the museum is amazing due to the fact that the icons are located in small dark rooms illuminated by a faint light. I wonder what the "Night of Museums" looks like" in this place ... A video on "icon writing" is also presented.
24.08.2014The Icon Museum in Suprasl - a branch of the Podlaskie Museum in Bialystok - has the largest collection of icons in Poland. Over the past forty years, a collection of obhe collection, which includes more than a thousand icons dating to the 17th, 19th and 20th centuries, is one of the most interesting and largest in the country. The jewel of the collection is a unique set of 16th-century frescoes salvaged from the demolished Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Suprasl.
