A lot of respect is due to the people who arrange these carpets - the end result is really impressive! The problem with admiring the floral compositions are the crowds traversing theaching the route of the procession, but that is, of course, another matter;-)
09.08.2011Every year for Corpus Christi, the residents of Spycimierz lay carpets of living flowers along the nearly two-kilometer-long procession route. The mass begins at 5 pm to allow them to reach the site for visitors from the country. The carpets can be admired at about noon. The tradition is now two hundred years old.
