St. George's Church stands on Monciak Street. This neo-Gothic church was built in 1899-1901, with construction financed by Empress Augusta Victoria, as well as Kaiser WilhelmII, who ordered the church's tower to be erected so high that it could be seen by ships on the bay. By the church stands a chapel dating back to 1909. It once served as a street well, but today hides a statue of St. Adalbert under its ceramic roof.
