12.08.2014Forest Opera - forest amphitheater with an area of 4 hectares opened in 1909 in Sopot. Forest Opera is located on the edge of the Tri-City Landscape Park in the forest complex of Lasów Oliwskie. The facility is characterized primarily by good acoustics and an attractive location. The opera house's auditorium seats 4400 spectators, and the stage (50 m long and 536 m² in area) is able to accommodate an orchestra of more than 100 people. The Forest Opera's scenery is primarily associated with the festival that takes place here every year. The opera house stage is also the venue for numerous classical music concerts, blues concerts, rock concerts, fashion shows and others. Near the Forest Opera House runs the tourist black trail of the Szymbarskie Hills.
