Pier

The pier in Sopot is one of the most characteristic and representative points on the map of the city. The pier, measuring almost half a kilometer, can be reached by walking along Sopot's most famous promenade - Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street. After passing through the Spa Park, only a few steps separate us from both the beach and the longest pier built on the Baltic Sea. Until 1910, the footbridge measured only 315 meters, and was extended to its current length (511.5 meters) in 1927-1928. At the very end of the promenade is a yacht harbor, created in 2011, as well as the Meridian Pier restaurant. An unforgettable attraction - also for children - a cruise on the Bay of Gdansk on the cruise ship "Pirat". On board you can have a tasty dinner in a pirate restaurant. Both the ship itself and the entire pier is an original place for a wedding or family photo session. An interesting fact is that the pier in Sopot has often been the backdrop for film productions. Pictures in which they can be seen include the 2006 romantic comedies "Only Love Me" and "Heart Not Servant" (2017).

    Very good Stay: April 2014

An iconic place that you have to "pass" when visiting the tri-city. I was there at the end of April and admission was free only after dark.

I agree - you have to be there :) Walk around, see ... We were there in April, also before the season, then the entrance to the pier is free.

I've been several times, but something keeps pulling me there ;) This year I hope my Wedding Party will finally see them "live" for the first time.

    Very good Stay: August 2009

The pier is fantastic but such a small note in high season you really have to be patient to get tickets.

  • The pier is one of the most popular Polish recreational and event facilities, a showpiece of the resort. The facility consists of 2 parts: wooden and land. The wooden part (walking) includes, in addition to the main pier (511.5 m of which 458 m goes into the Gulf of Gdansk), lower decks and a side deck, which allow passenger ships and yachts to arrive. The concentration of iodine in the outermost areas is twice as high as on land. The land part (Curaçao Square) is a 20,000-square-meter square with a beautiful historic fountain, a lighthouse with a vantage point, a concert shell, food outlets and lots of greenery. The square can host mass events for up to 15 thousand people, and in the winter an artificial ice rink operates here. It is the only place in Sopot to organize large promotional events and BTL activities.
