From Ditches it is worthwhile to follow the trail of "three lakes" - Lake Gardno, Lake Dolgie Duże and Lake Dolgie Małe - located on the Gardnieńska spit in the Slovinski National Park. In the orientacji in the field will help us green trail having its beginning in Rowy right at the entrance gate to the Slovinski National Park. It is just a matter of what means of transport we will go on this journey. Let's keep in mind that if we want to walk the entire trail there and back is about 20 km. On a bicycle such a distance is not scary, but on foot it is already a small challenge. If we go by bike, after reaching the last pier on Lake Dolgie Duże we should return along the same route, walkers can return to the green trail and continue along it to the sea and return along the beach to Rowy. From time to time, paths marked in black diverge from the main route, we will reach the shores of the Baltic Sea with them, turning left to get back to Rowy. Gardnieńska Spit separates Lake Gardno from the Baltic Sea - its width is from 0.8 km to 2 km. It is mostly covered with forest, with fields of gray dunes, and near the lake the area is marshy overgrown with alder, and by the lake itself large strips of rushes and reeds. Moving along the path through the forest of the Gardnerian spit, it is worth stopping at the numerous benches and looking around the park forest. A few kilometers from Ditches on the shore of Lake Gardno we reach the viewing platform on Lake Gardno - this is the first lake on our trail, but the most important of all. From the platform we will see the surroundings of the lake, as well as what is around it. Characteristic points are Rowokół hill, the tower of the church in Gardno Wielka, the observation tower on the western shore of the lake in Objejskie Łąki and also the buildings of Ditches. Lake Gardno - is the 8th lake in Poland in terms of surface area, a polygenetic (i.e. one that was formed as a result of many different causes) coastal lake. It is separated from the Baltic Sea by the Gardno sand spit, through the lake flows the river Lupawa. It has an area of 2469 hectares and a maximum depth of 2.6 meters. It is entirely part of the Slovinski National Park. Within the lake's basin is the Kamienna Island reserve. Next will be a small mid-forest lake Dołgie Małe (area of 6.3 hectares) was formed as a result of cutting off the bay of Lake Gardno by dunes pushing in from the north. It is picturesque with a calm tone and a little diversified shoreline. At the same time, it is the shallowest lake in the Slovinski National Park - the average depth is 0.75 meters, and the maximum is 1.65 meters. The next stop is Lake Dolgie Duże. Like its smaller namesake, it is a former bay of Lake Gardno - cut off by dunes from the parent lake. The area of the lake is 156 hectares, length max. 2650 m, average depth of 1.4 m and maximum depth of 2.9 m. A built pier cuts firmly into the lake, behind a line of rushes. This is an ideal place to enjoy the park's nature.
