Monument to the soldiers of the Soviet Army Koszalinska Street, near the Post Office In the place where the monument now stands, 18 Soviet soldiers were buried in 1945.ckists who took part in battles in the Slawno area. To mark this fact, a stone boulder was laid in the late 1940s. Before the original monument was erected, in 1952, the bodies of the soldiers were exhumed and buried in soldiers' quarters in municipal cemeteries in Slawno and Slupsk. The exhumation was carried out in October and November 1952 on the basis of an order from the Minister of Municipal Affairs. The exhumation work was carried out by a team from Braniewo under the supervision of Zygmunt Piotrowski, head of the Department of Communal Economy and Housing of the Presidium of the District National Council in Slawno. In 1953, a quadrangular stone obelisk about 3 meters high was erected, with a five-pointed star on top. In the 1970s, the form of the monument was changed, which still exists today. At a height of about 2.5 m. on the monument mounted transverse granite slab, on which there is an inscription cast in epoxy resin: GLORY TO THE HEROES ? SOLDIERS OF THE SOVIET ARMY, FALLEN IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE NAZI INVADERS RESIDENTS OF THE SŁAWIEŃ LAND.
