The church was founded by Primate Antoni Ostrowski and built in 1781 to a design by Efraim Schroeger. From a bird's eye view of the layout of the architectural forms of the buildingku can be read the letters "A" and "O" - the initials of the founder of the temple. Numerous tombstones from the 17th and 18th centuries and a portrait of Stanislaw August Poniatowski have been preserved in the church. Worth seeing is the tombstone of Primate Ostrowski made by the Italian sculptor - J. Monaldi.
