  • The Rzęsa Pond is the largest and most naturally valuable pond in Siemianowice Śląskie. The current set of reservoirs was created on the site of a former sand pit, where back in the years ofIn the 1950s, exploitation continued. Over time, steppe grass, birch trees began to grow in the area, which became a suitable habitat for many animals like foxes, pheasants and deer. The pond has an area of 13.2295 hectares. The average depth is 1.5 meters, but in places its depth reaches 3 meters. The slopes show soil layers dating back to the post-glacial era (Cenozoic, Quaternary). The Rzęsa Pond is part of the Pheasantarnia nature and recreation zone (including the Pheasantarnia Forest, the Shooting Range, other ponds such as the Remiza Pond and the Garden Pond, the golf course, surrounding farmland, the historic German Soldiers' Cemetery).
