Rogalin Landscape Park

Feedback

  • Rogalin Landscape Park was established in 1997. Its purpose is to protect Europe's largest concentration of centuries-old pedunculate oaks growing in the valley of the Wart, numerous oxbow lakes and historical and cultural values. The name was borrowed from the village of Rogalin, where the most famous of Wielkopolska's oak trees grow. These oaks have become a symbol of Wielkopolska. The most famous are the three growing in the English part of the Rogalin's palace park "Lech", "Czech" and "Rus", and "Edward" growing on its edge, on the slope of the Warta valley. The oaks were first counted in 1904. The last count totaled 1,435, of which as many as 860 were recognized as natural monuments.
