19.11.2013Not much of the castle has survived, but what is there will stand still for a while. I spoke with the person overseeing the facility. Maintaining the current state a lotcosts, so there is no chance that they will rebuild anything more. The site is used by the city to hold all kinds of events in a "conventional courtyard" inside the delineated outline of the castle. The castle tower overlooks the surrounding area and the Mazovia soccer field, which is located right next to the castle.
21.07.2013The once mighty Rawa Castle stands in a bend of the small rivers Rawka and Rylskaya north of the city center. It was the strongest stronghold in this part of the country. Currently, it is possible toand see only the reconstructed entire outline of the foundations with original fragments and a very tall massive octagonal tower with sections of the perimeter wall connected to it. The wall has a wooden guard porch. In the tower you can see an exhibition on the history of the city and the castle. Outside, note the bay window, on the moat side, used as a lavatory.
