The parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was built in 1926-1928, and was consecrated on 7.10.1928, by Rev. Chancellor Jan Skrzypczyk, while theConsecrated on 3.10.1971 by the Bishop of Katowice Herbert Bednorz. The designer was Jan Affa from Raciborz. On 1.12.1983 a fire took place inside the church, which was the result of arson. On 3.10.1986 the Bishop of Katowice Damian Zimoń consecrated the new altar and consecrated it. The decor of the chancel was made according to the design of the artist Zygmunt Brachmanski.
