17.11.2015On a hill in the village of Przezmark, by the road itself, you can see the remains of a Teutonic fortress surrounded by the waters of Lake Moltawa Wielka. The eminently defensible location on the póThe island somehow did not favor it. It was conquered and destroyed, and only the tall six-bay corner tower on the pre-castle has survived to our days in good condition. Its size testifies to the power of the entire establishment. The main castle is now an overgrown mound, with remnants of the entrance gate, a few fragments of masonry and in the excavation of the cellars under the former east wing. This may soon change, as archaeologists have announced major work here and perhaps much more masonry will be exposed.
