The collections of the Museum of the History of the City of Poznań number about 20,000 objects. They document the history of the city from the Middle Ages to the present day. The largest group consists of photografies of people and views of Poznan from the 19th and 20th centuries. Of great iconographic value are prints, drawings, paintings and postcards depicting fragments of the city and images of distinguished figures. This group also includes plans of the city and region.
