Polickie Łąki is adjacent to the island of Skolwinski Ostrow, and is entirely part of the city limits of Police. The island is surrounded by branches of the Oder River: Domiąża, Cieśnica, Łarpia and Polickie Nurt.. The island is mostly uninhabited, making it a refuge for wildlife, especially birds. Meadows and extensive grasslands are found here. Rare aquatic vegetation also thrives here.
